Sonar Professional is a high-speed, text retrieval system for SPARC-basedworkstations using the OPEN LOOK GUI. Designed for legal, government, andeducational uses, it can search over 10, pages per second.Sonar Professional can perform Boolean, proximity, wildcard, synonym, andphonetic searching. With phonetic searching, users can search for wordsby sound if they don't know how a word is spelled. Comments can beattached to document pages for annotation purposes. Sonar Professionalcan also generate reports; provide a list of words associated with agiven subject; and look for connections between people, places, andthings.Sonar Professional works with WordPerfect, FrameMaker, and ASCII fileformats.
